For my capstone I am interning at the Escambia County Marine Resource Division doing harmful algae bloom monitoring and dune erosion mapping using GIS. This week for the accompanying course we were tasked with researching GIS User groups. I chose the Sacramento Area GIS User Group because that is where I'm from. This covers the county of Sacramento California. This user group holds town hall type workshops where they discuss new things in the world of GIS. The next event is September 24th.
