Module 5

 

In this lab we analyzed pre and post Hurricane Sandy images. From these images we classified building damage from no damage to destroyed. In this image, the lighter colors with smaller points represent less damage. The darkest and largest points represent buildings that were destroyed during the hurricane. The blue line is the coastline and the buffer colors are 100 meter increments from the coastline. As expected the closer the buildings were to the coastline, the more likely they were to be destroyed.
