This lab focused on map elements, topography and labeling. To accomplish this we transferred feature layers into ArcGIS Pro, selected the layers and edited the font, orientation, size, and converted the labels to annotations. Converting the labels was especially important in the creation of this map because the label orientation was overlapping and difficult to read. The readability of a map is very important. I kept the populated place points and selected a text symbol that would create a white backdrop for the labels and make them easier to read. I chose to make this map easier to interpret by not using a basemap because the map was already cluttered. I also made the swaps a feature and edited the symbology to be green hatch lines.
