This weeks assignment was to create a map locating the UWF campus on a map of Escambia County. This project was more difficult than the previous week, particularly the labeling. The layer that contained the Escambia County city names was supposed to be clipped to Ferry Pass and Pensacola by name and exported as a different layer name. This step did not work for me. When adding the labels for the cities after the clip and export, they were placed on the map as number values with no option in the label function to change them to names. This cost me valuable time. I went back to a previous map and tried the clip and export function again with the same result. Eventually, I just went to the original cities attributes and manually removed all the cities I didn't need.
